Care of Your Hand-Made Beads

Frequently Asked Questions
|
How should my flowers be mailed?
Remember you can have flowers from over 50 years and still do this process. If your flowers have molded, they will
not be able to be made into beads. String your roses and dry upside down. Let your flowers dry out in a dry, not
humid room. Once completely dried out place them in tissue paper or brown envelope if being mailed. We can
also dry them out for you.
What address should flowers be mailed to?
Flowers should be mailed to: 3240 Brookshire Trenton, MI. 48183
What color will my beads be?
We will try to match the color of your beads as close to their original color. You may expect some variations in
some colors. Colorant is added to bring out the vibrant color of your flowers since they have lost most of their color
during the drying process. If you have white flowers, we can add any colorant to make a color of your choice.
What type of flowers can be used?
Roses are preferred since they are the easiest to transform into beads. NOTE: If you are sending other flowers
besides roses, we will get back to you on basically how many beads we can make from your flowers and the
quantity of what items can be made from your flowers. Please keep in mind that when your flowers (whatever type)
are crushed, we scent them with a pure rose oil. Due to various allergies, some people prefer not to have their
beads scented. If you prefer no scent on your beads, it is extremely important to note this on your order.
How many flowers do I need to send?
Usually 4 roses are needed to make a pair of rosary beads. Forty-five to fifty beads can be made from two roses,
and sixty beads are needed to make a complete rosary. Several bracelets can be made from two roses, since a
bracelet only has ten beads. Please see the NOTE above if you are sending other flowers besides roses.
When can I expect to receive my order back?
We usually quote about 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the size of the order. Please keep in mind that each bead is
skillfully hand crafted. There are no machines putting your beads together. However, during our slower times,
beads may reach you before the six-week waiting period. During our busier times, your order may not be shipped
until 8 weeks. If beads are needed for a special anniversary mass, you may request a delivery date, and we will try
to get your order to you by this time.
What if there are extra roses?
We will keep your roses for six months if at any time you might need to order more.
Avoid getting beads wet. If ordering bracelets or necklaces, please remove jewelry before taking a shower, doing dishes, or swimming. Your rose beads are extremely hard and should not break or crack, unless they have been played with by small children or exposed to harsh chemicals. If any beads should every break or crack, they will be replaced free of charge with just the cost of shipping and handling.
Again, please remember to keep all your hand-crafted beads from getting wet
